“Fuori di Taste” is one of the most important food & drink events in Florence.
Next March 9th we are going to run a special “off” “Fuori di Taste” event in partnership with Frantoio di Sant’Agata d’Oneglia.
Frantoio di Sant’Agata d’Oneglia
The history of the olive oil mill (frantoio) of Sant’Agata d’Oneglia is entwined with the Mela family and Taggiasca olive trees ones.
The Taggiasca olive trees were introduced to the Liguria west coast in XVII Century: by the Benedictine order.
In 1827 the Mela family started its involvement in extra virgin olive oil production, using the stone press mill in Sant’Agata d’Oneglia.
Almost two centuries later, while the equipment and tools are of course dramatically changed, the Mela family’s passion is still the same, while the products line blends smoothly tradition and innovation, and very much appreciated in France, Germany, United States and Japan.
That well balanced mix of tradition and innovation is going to surprise you next March 9th at Enoteca alessi!
